If you are watching Sadhguru on Youtube, Instagram and many other places and have started wondering 'Who is this guy actually'... then you are exactly where I was a few years ago. If you are finding his answers logically appealing, in a way that its quenching your curiosity ... let me tell you its not happening only to you.. happened with many others, including me.
Before 2018 the word Sadhguru meant almost nothing to me. My understanding of Guru-Shishya tradition was also limited to its association with classical art forms and maybe people studying Vedas. Isn't it what Guru could be in 21st century?
But unexpectedly, I came across a man with a long beard, wearing fancy caps and t-shirts, speaking flawless English, riding motorcycle and speaking something which somehow was making every sense that I was searching for my questions.
It was the time when Youth and Truth event was going on in various colleges of India... so as a youth, I was actually getting my answers about myself, my Dharma and a unique perspective on ways of society... He also came to my university btw ..
Things never remained tepid once he arrived. What I started experiencing was alien to me hence I thought may be I am becoming a fan... but that was not it.
Without getting into every details of what all happened next I'll come back to my readers.
As a comrade today I am going to share some signs of "Soon be taking a free ride into the Mystic Realm" type of human beings...
- If your curiosity made you stop at a Sadhguru video, and your Questions made you stay...
- If little by little he is becoming part of your regular thoughts..
- If you have started quoting him in your conversations..
- If you've started practicing tips and suggestions given by him..
or just ..If you have started giggling instinctively as you watch him laugh...
My friend congratulations you are about to begin the biggest festival of your life. Do not hesitate.. I did for a brief moment but the compassion of presence never doubted my competence.
In January 2022 I heard him speaking of three stages ... Flirt, Love and Devotion. He said 'we are the one flirting here with him'.. I laughed cause I knew it was true. I was hesitating to take step further beyond Youtube videos. I was wondering what a 'Sadhguru' can do in this tech savvy, rapidly moving, Generative AI world.......... "How Much Of Him Can Come Along With Me?"
But eventually the journey that began from youtube went to instagram to Sadhguru App, trying all the freebies of Isha like Isha Kriya.... to this day where I am Inner Engineered, where he is now with me in every sphere of life, from my working desk to my social circles... from wallpaper to life purpose... there is not one thing where his presence is not... he still guides me.. but he also have made me so much competent that I can make it happen on my own now. How much of Sadhguru one need in life? I will speak for myself... if not for him I would not have known that being Human is such a super power... and that in this whole big world I can rely on the self which is but his reflection.
